Questions

What owners ask first

Will it sound like a robot?

You choose from several voices and hear them before you decide. Voice quality depends on the voice and the language, so we test with your own kind of calls and pick the one that fits.

Can it speak Mandarin?

Yes. English and Mandarin run in our pilot and can switch within one call. Malay and Tamil are on Amazon's list of supported languages for its AI agents, and we test each with you before promising it. Singlish and dialects such as Hokkien and Cantonese are tested case by case.

Why Amazon Connect?

It is a full contact centre in the cloud: phone numbers, call routing, hand-over to people in a browser, recordings and reports, with AI answering first. It runs on AWS and grows with you, so you are not tied to a single phone box.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. You can forward your existing line to the assistant. If you want a new Singapore number through Amazon Connect, it needs company documents and carrier approval, which can take several weeks, so we plan for that.

What happens when it cannot answer?

It takes a message, or transfers the call to your team with a summary, depending on the rules you set. It never makes up an answer it was not given.

Is it PDPA friendly?

We design for it: a call notice, a written data agreement, and retention you control. You stay responsible for consent and notices to your customers, and we help you set them up. We will go through it with you before launch.

Can it make sales calls?

We focus on answering calls and on service calls to existing customers. Marketing calls need consent or a Do Not Call check, and we do not run them without one.

What do you need from me?

A short call, plus your opening hours, services, prices and the questions customers ask most. We write the rest and test it with you.

Can I use a government grant?

Some Singapore grants support digital solutions. Whether yours qualifies depends on the scheme and on whether the provider is pre-approved. We will help you check before you commit.

How much does it cost?

Packages start with after-hours answering and grow from there. See the draft packages, or book a walkthrough for a quote based on your call volume.
